Beginning in the Easter season of 2024, Confirmation will be celebrated with youth who are
finishing their eighth-grade year. We will attempt to schedule at least 75% of the Confirmation
ceremonies during the Easter season. Any remaining Confirmation ceremonies unable to be
scheduled during the Easter season will occur in Fall of 2024 for youth beginning their ninth grade year.
Also beginning with the Easter season of 2024, the Sacrament of Confirmation will be celebrated
in the context of the celebration of the Mass to better show the connection between the
Sacraments of Initiation, particularly during this coming year of Eucharistic Revival in the
parishes. In order to focus on the Confirmation Mass, the Bishop will meet with the candidates for
Confirmation by Deanery at a separate occasion, rather than prior to each Confirmation Mass.
All Confirmandi and parents are to attend Bishop Kulick’s Confirmation Reflections. St. Sebastian Parish is in Deanery 7 and will meet with Bishop Kulick on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at 6:00 PM at St. Joseph Church in Uniontown.
The Sacrament of Confirmation will be celebrated at St. John the Baptist Church in Perryopolis on Monday, June 2, 2025 at 6:00 PM. The Parishes included: Epiphany of Our Lord, Monessen; St. Peter, Brownsville; St. Anne, Rostraver; St. John the Baptist, Perryopolis, St. Cecilia, Grindstone; Holy Family, West Newton; Yukon; and St. Sebastian.
