As of right now, Confirmation is still scheduled as planned for Saturday, November 7 at 10am. The celebration will be held, here, at St. Sebastian Church.

Practice will be held on Friday, November 6 at 7 pm.   Candidate must attend.  Sponsor should attend, or a parent if unable.

Because of the recent changes due to Covid-19, our required Retreat will be held virtually.

It is scheduled for August 7 from 9am to Noon.

Registration is now available at

You must register your candidate and they must attend.

All candidates must do a Service Project, that is a work of mercy to others.   Due to Covid-19 and social distancing requirements this can be a challenge.  These projects are to serve God, His People,  His creations.   Once your candidate chooses a project and completes it, please complete the attached form and return it to the Parish Office.  Please have this project completed by August 31.

Below are a few suggestions:

+ Call or write to home bound or shut-ins.  Don't just send a hallmark greeting - make it personal

+ Do some chores for elderly or disabled family or neighbors (not normal chores you do at home)

+ Read a bible story and share your faith with a younger family member - in person or virtually

+ Lead your family in a prayer service for health, safety, end to violence and social injustice

+  If you have an idea of your own --- please email or call me so we can make sure it works

This should be an act of love and selflessness, using the gifts given by the Holy Spirit.

These are Works of Mercy of how we, as Christians, should live day to day.

Parents, your guidance throughout these final steps of faith initiation is as important as your candidates participation.

Participation in the Retreat and the Service Project should be seen as steps to becoming better disciples, not just required hoops to jump through.

However, one hoop that you the parent must jump through is -- we need back any requested paperwork that you were given.  If you have not turned them in, please do so asap.    I have attached copies for you.

Stay Well.

Scott J. Martin, Director of Faith Formation
