| WEDDING AT CANA: The wedding at Cana, where Jesus turned water into wine, is considered to be Jesus' first public miracle. The story is recorded only in the gospel of John. The incident was also notable because it is the last time in the New Testament that Jesus' mother speaks. Although Mary appears later in the New Testament, the final words that we have recorded from Mary are her instructions, "Do whatever he tells you."
